Chasing Ghosts by Philip J Reilly, a pleasant read with a predictable outcome and I wont tell you what it is unless you are someone who reads the last chapter first..eh!! So these 4 guys decide that they will get back to training and one of them has a chance at the Olympics in the 800mtrs. The normal descriptions of good, bad and indifferent training runs under all conditions in all weathers and with all the acoutrements of life to deal with also. Nothing new there, like a long version of "Once a Runner" or "Again to Carthage". Easy enough to read, but not as exciting as "Once a Runner" and not as much detail as "Running with the Buffaloes". The book finishes well and does build somewhat more tension in the final chapters. Not a great read, but enjoyable enough.
