Jeff began running in high school as a way to train for the swim team, and has been competing in both ever since. Jeff spent over 24 years in the United States Marine Corps, has traveled throughout the world and has been on multiple deployments. The one constant was finding the time to run, and to help train others.  He is a veteran of countless races ranging in distances from 1 mile to 50 miles.                       

While assigned as a Water Survival Instructor with the Marine Corps he trained hundreds of people how to swim and how to improve stroke techniques in both the pool, and in the open water.  He has completed a number of open water swim competitions, to include completing an Alcatraz Island swim, as well as several sprint triathlons. In his first attempt at a Half Ironman distance, he placed 1 in his division.    
Jeff is also entering his 5 year as Head Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field at Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach.  During his military career, Jeff was a member of nearly a dozen ALL Marine Corps running teams, (Marathon, Cross Country, and Track & Field). He was also a Bronze Medal winner placing 3 in the ALL Armed Forces XC Championships.                                                                                              
Competing now more as an age grouper he routinely places 1 or 2nd in his division.
Having dealt with minor injuries over the years, Jeff has a greater appreciation for injury prevention, cross training, and the need for balance. As a coach to young adults and working adults he knows the benefits of providing structure and accountability to any training program.  Jeff is very excited to be an addition to the Dai Roberts Group, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge and helping people of all abilities achieve their fitness goals.
